Worcester man indicted on murder for stabbing girlfriend to death

Sadrac Metellus is accused of stabbing his girlfriend to death in their Douglas Street apartment on Valentine’s Day this year

WORCESTER— Last week, a Worcester County Grand Jury indicted Sadrac Metellus, 29, for the murder of Vesline Garnier, 24, inside their Worcester apartment in February, Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early, Jr., reported.

Garnier was found with multiple stab wounds when Worcester police responded to their apartment on 6 Douglas St. on Feb. 14 around 5 p.m.

Metellus, initially charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, was arraigned on a murder charge and held without bail.

The indictment moves the case to Worcester Superior Court, with Metellus scheduled for arraignment on May 14.
