Original post: A Declared Winter Parking Ban is currently in effect in Worcester and will remain active until further notice. Crews began clearing and treating streets at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, ahead of the storm, and plowing operations have been completed.
During the ban, parking is restricted on major routes and downtown streets critical for traffic flow. On all other streets, parking is allowed only on the odd-numbered side unless posted otherwise. Towing and ticketing may be enforced to ensure roads remain clear.
Municipal parking garages are available free of charge to vehicles that entered after 8 p.m. on Dec. 4, until the ban is lifted.
The parking garages:
- Federal Plaza Garage – 570 Main St.
- Pearl & Elm Garage – 20 Pearl St.
- Worcester Common Garage – 3 Eaton Place
- Union Station Garage – 225 Franklin St.
- Major Taylor Blvd Garage – 30 Major Taylor Blvd.
