WPD investigates deadly crash on Belmont Street

WORCESTER—A teenaged girl has died as the result of injuries after being struck while crossing Belmont Street on Thursday.

Worcester police responded on June 27 around 2:28 p.m. to a pedestrian crash near 370 Belmont St. Officers found a 13-year-old girl with serious injuries and the Acura that struck her. She was transported to the hospital by ambulance. The Crash Reconstruction Unit is investigating.

Initial findings indicate the Acura was traveling west on Belmont Street when it hit the girl as she was crossing. She was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The investigation remains ongoing.
